Red River Black Campus Ministries Update for July 15th!

Partners in Gospel,

Hopefully, you will read this on Monday, not Sunday as you are enjoying your Sabbath (I took mine on Saturday).

Two great things taking place that I would like to share and invite your prayers:

1. Tremendous Meeting with Austin Community College Faculty
John Lin, the Central Texas Area Director for InterVarsity, and I met with three faculty from ACC this week. We prayed for the Lord to lead us, AND HE DID! We were simply attempting to meet with people I had made initial contacts with. The three faculty we met with: a) oversee new student orientation, student organizations and diversity, respectively, for all eight ACC locations in Austin! They are all believers and are very open to helping us discern having a presence on the Austin Community College campus.
Would you pray the Lord would give wisdom and direction on how to proceed? There are currently over 60 ministries reaching the 50,000 students at UT, and only one campus ministry serving the 45,000 students at Austin Community College. Pray the Lord would continue to open doors for InterVarsity to become the second.

2. Ministry in Dallas, Texas this week
I will be in Dallas, Texas from July 16th-20th, meeting with pastors from all over the country at an Expository Preaching Conference to share about InterVarsity, meeting with current and potentially new partners in ministry and meeting with other InterVarsity staff to see the other campuses where we have planting opportunities. Would you pray the Lord would raise up new partners in ministry and would give direction on how to proceed in reaching the class of 2016?

I am eager to begin serving Austin Community College and each new campus the Lord gives wisdom, resources and strength for us to reach.

To God be the glory for the things He has done and IS doing!!!
